IDA Helsinki operates as an online radio, event producer and diverse media platform with an emphasis on music and local DJ culture. It was first founded in Tallinn, Estonia on 1 May 2018 and the sister radio in Helsinki opened in 2020. As a non-profit association, IDA Helsinki offers an alternative to commercial radio stations and online media. It is run by volunteers who are professionals in the music industry and active members of the local club scene.
